Everything for Your Home and Garden, and More

Novi Home & Garden Show, March 28-30

NOVI, MI--(Marketwired - Mar 26, 2014) - Although it's hard to tell by the weather, spring is officially here, and it is time to talk about landscaping and home remodeling. A great place to start is the Novi Home & Garden Show, March 28-30 at Suburban Collection Showplace. In addition to great garden displays and home improvement vendors, the show will host a variety of entertaining seminars, and even display a full-size house!

The "Green Thumb Theater" area will provide a variety of fun seminars. Featured presenter Don Engebretson, The Renegade Gardener, will bring three great hands-on seminars to the show and share his years of experience in landscape and garden design. He has all the tips and tricks to transform your yard from snow and ice to a beautiful landscape and answer landscaping questions.

Another great feature of the show is a home being built for Macomb Habitat for Humanity by the students of Dakota High School's building program. The home is 1,200 square feet and features 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The building program has a 10,000 square foot building allowing for more than 85 percent completion in the school's facility. This house will be the twelfth home built in the program's history and the sixth that has gone to Macomb Habitat for Humanity.

The house has been moved to the Novi Home and Garden Show for the weekend and is available for touring. Students and faculty will answer questions about the home and discuss the building process. The house move is sponsored by Huntington Bank.

The Novi Home and Garden Show is at the Suburban Collection Showplace March 28-30.
