Everything You Need to Know About the New Fee Disclosure Rules -- Find the Answers at PSCA's Midwest Regional Conference

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - Feb 23, 2012) - "The Plan Sponsor Council of America (PSCA) Midwest Regional Conference will focus a large section of its program on the new 408(b)(2) fee disclosure rules recently released by the DOL," said David Wray, PSCA's President.

"We know plan sponsors have been anxious about the new rules, how the rules will impact them as fiduciaries, and how they can effectively communicate the rules to their employees. As a result of the final rules being released, PSCA's Midwest Regional Conference will feature several general sessions and workshops that will provide the answers to plan sponsors' most pressing questions," Wray said.

The centerpiece of the Regional Conference, March 14 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, will be a keynote presentation by Douglas Morris, AIF, Vice President of Retirement Services and Samuel A. Henson, J.D., Senior ERISA Counsel, Lockton Retirement Services. In this session, "A Practical Guide to New Retirement Plan Fee Disclosure Rules," they will offer a step-by-step approach to ensuring compliance of the new regulations and will cover:

  • Fee disclosure overview

  • Changes to expect for both employers and employees

  • Summary of deadlines and compliance requirements

  • Actionable to do list to stay in compliance

In addition, both Wray and Ed Ferrigno, Vice President of Washington Affairs, will comment on the new regulations during their general sessions. A panel of plan sponsors from large and small companies will also discuss how their firms are approaching the reality of the new regulations. In addition, Ian Kopelman, ERISA Practice Leader at DLA Piper, and Stephen McCaffrey, Senior Counsel, National Grid U.S., will conduct an "Ask the Experts" workshop to entertain follow-up questions on this important topic.

PSCA's 2012 Midwest Regional Conference promises to be one of the most important meetings of the year for plan sponsors as they try to comprehend the changes impacting their plans. To register to attend the Midwest Regional Conference, visit and follow the Events tab. The cost of registration is $350 for PSCA members and $495 for non-members.
