evolphin Software Announces Brian Ahearn as Chief Executive Officer

evolphin Software Chooses Proven Silicon Valley Senior Executive to Guide Leader in Creative Process Management Through Next Phase of Global Growth

SAN RAMON, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 23, 2013) - evolphin Software, developer of the Operating System for the creative organization, today announced the appointment of Brian Ahearn as CEO. Mr. Ahearn, who led global sales at multiple telecommunications companies, including Procera, 2Wire, and Avaya, will guide evolphin's corporate strategy, operations, and global sales, as the company enters a rapid growth phase. evolphin founder and Board Chairman Rahul Bhargava will continue to lead product development and innovation.

"Brian brings twenty-five years of executive leadership, specializing in international product adoption and market penetration," said Bhargava. "With his proven go-to-market sales experience, he is the perfect choice to lead the company as global demand escalates for our robust and intuitive Zoom digital asset management (DAM) and project workflow software. Innovative companies succeed only with innovative leaders. I feel passionate that Brian will bring our company and the Zoom solution to the forefront of the creative industry."

At Procera, a global intelligence policy enforcement company, Mr. Ahearn served as senior vice president, forging strategic relationships in Japan, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia/Pacific. At 2Wire, Inc. (recently acquired by Pace plc), a developer of broadband solutions, Mr. Ahearn led account management, field engineering, and professional services teams to achieve sales of approximately $550 million. At Avaya, a provider of enterprise communication systems, Mr. Ahearn led the global services team, growing business and market share with major carriers, including AT&T, BT, NTT and Verizon. He also served as COO of VoiceLink Systems and in various leadership roles at Telecom New Zealand.

"My experience in the telecommunications industry gives me insight into how to deal with rapidly growing, evolving industries that are in a state of flux," said Mr. Ahearn. "This is an exciting, yet tumultuous time for the creative process management industry, as creatives, producers and content owners must embrace a new approach to digital asset management and project workflow that can keep up with the digital media explosion -- growing by terabytes daily. I am passionate about leading evolphin and driving global adoption of the Zoom platform to transform the digital-asset supply chain through automation, allowing the creative process to flourish."

Mr. Ahearn joins evolphin at a time of great momentum, as the company expands its customer base that already includes major brands, including News Corporation, Publicis and Astral Media. Just last month, the company launched Zoom 4.0, evolphin's content-creation platform, integrating digital asset versioning and workflow management to uniquely serve the growing needs of creative professionals. Unlike competitive offerings, Zoom 4.0 addresses the challenges of broken workflows; delivers a comprehensive set of analytics to aid in the management and control of processes; dramatically reduces the impact of asset management on bandwidth and storage requirements; and reduces the end-to-end costs of the asset creation process.
