Service Providers Can Now Take Advantage of USDA-RUS Funding Programs to Deploy Exalt Carrier-Class Microwave Radio Systems in Rural Communities

backhaul applications, announced today that it has received USDA Rural
Development product acceptance of its entire product line for use in
telecommunications systems operated by Rural Utilities Service (RUS) loan
program borrowers. RUS acceptance is required for operators requesting
federal funds from the USDA Rural Broadband Access Loan program for the
purpose of purchasing and deploying broadband systems in rural communities.

The USDA Rural Broadband Access Loan and Loan Guarantee Program provides
loans and loan guarantees for the construction, improvement and acquisition
of facilities and equipment for broadband service in eligible rural
communities. These loans facilitate deployment of new and innovative
technologies to provide two-way data transmission of 200 kbps or more, in
communities with populations up to 20,000. The program goal is to ensure
that rural consumers enjoy the same quality and range of telecommunications
services that are available in urban and suburban communities.
