ExcelAire Joins Corporate Angel Network to Help Transport Cancer Patients on Its Fleet of Business Jets

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Oct 10, 2011) - (NBAA) -- ExcelAire, one of the nation's leading private jet charter and aircraft management firms, today announced that it has joined the Corporate Angel Network (CAN). Members of CAN provide free flights to treatment centers for cancer patients, using empty seats on business aircraft.

The Corporate Angel Network set a new record in 2010 by coordinating flights for 3,021 cancer patients. The organization has transported close to 40,000 cancer patients on corporate jets since its founding in 1981.

"We are proud to participate in this worthwhile program that provides flights to cancer patients in need of treatment," said Bob Sherry, CEO and founder of ExcelAire. "By participating in this program, we hope to make a difference in the lives of these cancer patients and their families."

Since its founding 30 years ago, Corporate Angel Network has grown to include 530 participating corporations. With a small paid staff and 50 volunteers who work with patients, physicians, flight departments, and leading treatment centers, CAN coordinates the medical travel needs of cancer patients with the flight activity of participating corporations and private jet charter firms.
