Exclusive Villas at The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui Hotel Unveil a Fresh Look

Villa Remodel Part of $16 Million Resort-Wide Renovations

WAILEA, HI--(Marketwire - January 18, 2011) -  The only accommodations of their kind in Maui, the Villas at The Fairmont Kea Lani offer not only the comfort and convenience of renting a private home, but also all the amenities associated with a world-class resort. And now, under the direction of Roger Gagon of Island Design Center, this luxurious Maui hotel's villas have received a multi-million dollar makeover solidifying the impeccable reputation of Hawaii's only all-suite and villa luxury oceanfront resort.

The recent hotel-wide renovations, which saw the addition of quartzite to the swimming pool decks and the remodeling of every guestroom, was to more fully reflect this Maui resort's distinctive environment. Keeping this theme, the new look for the villas is classic and timeless -- and includes thoughtful Hawaiian touches.

Spanning 1,800 to 2,200 square feet, these comfortably residential two- and three-bedroom havens feature an open floorplan and welcoming kitchens with stainless steel full-sized appliances, walnut cabinets, granite countertops, and reclaimed glass mosaic backsplashes.

The dining areas boast L-shaped banquette seating and kirei board table tops, which are manufactured from reclaimed sorghum straw and look like crushed cane.

The classic furnishings and sophisticated Hawaiian décor of the living rooms include queen sleeper sofas, club chairs, ottomans and bamboo whicker side chairs.

Gagon chose Italian porcelain flooring and woven multi-colored Chilewich floor mats representing a modern interpretation of the Hawaiian lauhala mat and selected Hawaiian triptychs by acclaimed artist Darryl Hill. Amenities include entertainment systems with 42-inch HD flat-panel televisions, DVD/CD/AM-FM radios with iPod/MP3 player capabilities, On Command movies, and wireless high-speed Internet access.

The Maui resort's bedrooms have also been refreshed with new bedskirts, throws, and bolsters in warm green hues 310-thread-count white Frette bed linens, alarm clock/iPod media stations and 37-inch flat-panel HD televisions. All 37 villas boast two expansive marble bathrooms with soaking tubs, open showers, and double pedestal sinks.

Outdoors, guests may enjoy their own private courtyard with plunge pool, barbeque grill and Brown Jordan chaise lounges, chairs and handpainted glass tables.

Villa guests are offered exclusive amenities, services, and dining experiences, including expedited check in, welcome amenities, and a luxury rental car, Jeep, minivan or convertible to use throughout their stay.

This Maui hotel's rates for 2011 start at $1,500 per night for a two-bedroom ocean view villa.
