ExecEvent Announces Agenda Details; Upcoming Conference to Include SSD, Venture Capital Panels and Emerging Vendor Showcases

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 26, 2012) - The ExecEvent today announced agenda details for its upcoming BIG Event, July 10-11 in Santa Clara, CA at the Network Meeting Center at Techmart. The event features two full days of information and networking for executives from across the storage spectrum in the U.S.

On the agenda is an SSD/Flash panel discussion moderated by George Crump from Storage Switzerland exploring SSD in the greater data/storage ecosystem, along with different use cases for SSD/Flash. Participating vendors include Astute, Coraid, Nimble Storage, Skyera and Virident.

The Venture Capital panel discussion will feature VCs and financiers, who, along with attendees, will cover funding activities and trends. The discussion will be followed by a meet-and-greet open networking opportunity.

A track for showcasing emerging vendors and hot "Big Data Startups to Watch" will introduce newer, innovative vendors.

ExecEvent attendees interested in building business relationships with U.S. Government accounts, expanding into markets in Europe or China, will benefit from special presentations by leaders with track records of success in these arenas.

Keynoters include Intel Storage Group GM David Tuhy, who will discuss trends in storage infrastructure, cloud storage, and the convergence of data technologies; and Michael Hingson, who speaks to corporations, companies, associations, and groups throughout the world on developing trust, teamwork, risk-taking, and creativity to enhance both business and personal lives. Hingson, along with his seeing-eye dog Africa, will recount their harrowing journey to safety on 9/11, when they escaped from the 78th floor of Tower 1 in NYC moments before Tower 2 crashed to the ground.

"We expect that the convergence of data storage and business applications will be a major discussion point this year, along with the opportunity to pursue partnerships, M&A, and B2B relationships, particularly with so many execs from newer, noteworthy vendors," said Greg Duplessie, founder and CEO of the ExecEvent. "It's been a year and half since our last emerging vendor showcase, and there are many new companies, as well as some previous startups, that have already become real players."

The BIG Event is the updated name for the ExecEvent that has been organized in past years; the new name is intended to better highlight its importance in the annual schedule, which now includes multiple events dedicated to specific functions such as marketing and business development, and specific technology segments such as cloud, virtualization, tape and object storage.

Registration is open, but spots are extremely limited. For more information, and a complete list of presentations, panels and discussions please see http://theexecevent.com/2012/the-big-event.
