Nominees are culled from all private and public companies, as well as government agencies and academic institutions. They are evaluated and a winner is selected by a distinguished panel of judges comprised of industry experts and practitioners including past ISE nominees and winners. The ISE/CSI Members' Choice Award recipient is selected by the attendees of the event, who are able to cast votes in advance through an online survey. Staged in a celebratory networking environment, the awards gala is one event of five including an Executive Forum that allows the executive nominees and ISE Award sponsors an opportunity to reach out to one another in a discussion of industry issues.

"ISE National has capped off a truly fruitful year for identifying and recognizing security executives," said Marci McCarthy, CEO of Executive Alliance. "The number and quality of nominees and the many states they represent are indicators of the award's rise in significance and stature."
