Executive Alliance Announces Winners of Information Security Executive of the Year Central Awards™

Chief Information Security Officers From the State of Michigan and General Motors Corporation Honored at Gala Event in Dallas, Texas

ATLANTA, GA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 24, 2006 -- Executive Alliance, creator and provider of premium leadership-recognition forums, announced today that Dan Lohrmann, Chief Information Security Officer of the State of Michigan, has been named the winner of the prestigious Information Security Executive (ISE) of the Year Central 2006 Award. Mr. Lohrmann and thirteen other nominees were honored at a gala reception and awards ceremony held on Thursday evening at the Westin City Center Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

Eric Litt, Chief Information Security Officer of General Motors Corporation, was named the ISE Central People's Choice Award winner. Five ISE Finalists, including Mr. Lohrmann and Mr. Litt, were showcased during the evening event. The other finalists are Theresa J. Jones, Director, Global Information Security, The Dow Chemical Company, Melanie Moody, Associate Director, Information Security & Solutions, Procter & Gamble and Viji Murali, Chief Information Officer, Western Michigan University. Additionally, Kai Axford of Microsoft was named the recipient of the ISE Central Rising Star Award.

Always staged in an elegant setting, the awards gala is one event of five held throughout a day-long program conducted on an annual basis in six U.S. regions. The programs also offer relevant content focused on industry issues and challenges, which are discussed in the ISE Executive Forum.

The ISE Central Award is designed to celebrate the accomplishments of the information security industry leaders. The honor is awarded to a chief security officer or an executive in an equivalent position who has overall responsibility for network and/or Internet security and who demonstrates outstanding leadership in the field of information security in the Central region.

Nominees are culled from private and public companies, as well as government agencies and academic institutions. They are evaluated and a winner is selected by a distinguished panel comprised of industry experts including past ISE nominees and winners. The People's Choice Award recipient is selected by peers, recognizing outstanding leadership in the information security industry. The recipient of the Rising Star Award, given in recognition of the accomplishments made by those deemed to be the future leaders of the industry, is selected by Executive Alliance with the assistance of the region's established industry practitioners and leaders.
