BETHESDA, MD--(Marketwire - Jun 26, 2012) - Supporting its growing client base and vision for extending the model for interactive patient care (IPC) across the care continuum, GetWellNetwork, Inc.®, provider of the industry's leading IPC solution, announced that it has named Beth Martinko senior vice president of Client Experience and Hugo Borda vice president of Enterprise Architecture. The new appointments come on the heels of recent company expansion, having grown the workforce by 25% since January to support existing client needs while expanding the products and services offered to further increase patient engagement and improve healthcare outcomes.

"We are thrilled to welcome these leaders to GetWellNetwork as our client base expands and our platform becomes more crucial to the business imperatives of hospitals around the country," said Michael O'Neil, founder & CEO, GetWellNetwork, Inc. "Beth and Hugo will help lead the growth of our support organization and our platform evolution respectively, and will play essential roles in meeting client expectations today and in the future. Our implementations are moving far beyond basic bed-by-bed installs to enterprise and community-wide deployments to support the investments our clients are making towards accountable care. It's a dynamic and exciting time in our industry and company, and we welcome many talented new professionals to GetWellNetwork who share our passion and commitment to patient engagement."

Martinko brings extensive leadership experience that blends customer loyalty, support and relationship management with technical, professional services and operational leadership across varied industries from defense contractors to IT, media and entertainment.

In her role as senior vice president of Client Experience, Martinko reports to O'Neil and is responsible for delivering the Blueprint for Success components of implementation, training, and ongoing support of the GetWellNetwork solution in hospitals. She will oversee all implementation, product and client services teams including help desk staff and support engineers, assuring that client needs are continually met with optimal system performance.

"Beth has devoted a significant part of her career to listening to both consumer and business clients and what they really need, and then providing a service that ensures their success," said O'Neil. "What she brings to our organization is leadership and experience in managing and overseeing small to large, integrated system rollouts across the enterprise, while providing a fully integrated client experience."

Prior to joining GetWellNetwork Martinko was vice president, Customer Success at Avid Technology where she led design, strategy and creation of the global Customer Success function and delivered significant improvements in customer satisfaction and loyalty. Before that, she was vice president, Customer Service at Wavelight where she combined field service engineering and clinical training teams to focus on improved customer experience. She has also held executive leadership positions at Hewlett Packard, Peregrine Systems and Intersolv. Martinko earned her B.A. from Wilmington College.

Borda brings over 28 years of technology experience to the role of vice president, Enterprise Architecture. He will be responsible for driving the architecture and development of the GetWellNetwork IPC digital platform for patient engagement to further support large hospital systems -- inside and outside the four walls of the hospital -- while reducing costs and improving operational effectiveness. In addition, Borda will continue to extend the reach of GetWell@Home to new patient populations using mobile devices, the Web or cable TV.

"Hugo is recognized as a visionary leader who can manage change, mitigate risk, infuse new ideas, drive innovation and deliver solid business results, all while taking system performance and scalability to the next level," said O'Neil. "The depth of consumer and behavioral knowledge that he gained in previous roles lends itself perfectly to helping us develop ways to better interact with and care for patients throughout the care continuum while assisting hospitals in understanding the population they care for every day. We are thrilled to welcome Hugo to our leadership team."

Before joining GetWellNetwork, Borda was chief technology officer (CTO) of NeighborBench, where he managed a development team and architecture of a new system. Prior to that, he was CTO of TakeCharge Technologies, where he built and managed a new development team and achieved shorter delivery times and more efficient code, as well as implemented new automated processes to self-diagnose and report on performance and software exceptions. Borda has also held chief technology positions at SRA International, comScore, and Claritas Inc. He holds a B.S. in Systems Analysis from Universidad Tecnologica Nacional (Argentina).
