Expedition Energy Inc.: Operations Update

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - July 19, 2005) - Expedition Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE:XPD) ("Expedition") is pleased to update its 2nd Quarter and ongoing operations.

Expedition has recently added significant new production with additional production expected to be brought on stream in August.

At Nevis AB, stage one of the company's coalbed methane development project which came on stream earlier in the year, is now up to 90% capacity or 860 mcfpd net (143 boepd). Production was increased as additional gas plant compression capacity became available early in July.

At Three Hills AB, the 8-24 well drilled in late December 2004 was tied-in and brought on stream in May 2005 and is currently producing 180 mcfpd net (30 boepd) bringing total area production to 45 boepd. The company is working on a number of development locations on this property with further drilling activity planned for Q3/Q4 of 2005.

In West-Central AB, the operator of the Deanne 6-11 well has proposed a completion program and work is expected to commence in the next 30 days. Completion and testing operations are still in progress at Ferrier.

At Medicine Hat, AB, Expedition has identified, prepared a location and has obtained the necessary licence to commence the drilling of an exploratory well. The company is presently awaiting a drilling rig for this operation.

In West-Central SK, the company has secured a rig for drilling a horizontal development well which is expected to spud in the next week to ten days.

Total company production is currently 285 boepd. This compares favourably to total average production of 117 boepd achieved in the first quarter of 2005.

To-date in 2005 Expedition has obtained access to approximately 9600 net acres of prospective lands with several locations to be drilled in 2005.

The term barrels of oil equivalent or boe may be misleading, particularly if used in isolation. The boe conversion ratio used by Expedition of 6 mcf: 1 bbl is based on an energy equivalency conversion method primarily applicable at the burner tip and does not represent a value equivalency at the wellhead. All boe conversions herein are derived by converting gas to oil in the ratio of six thousand cubic feet of gas to one barrel of oil.

Expedition Energy Inc. is an emerging Alberta based public corporation actively engaged in the exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in Western Canada. The company continues to follow its strategy of internally developing prospects, securing land in core areas, and growing predominantly through drilling. Selective acquisitions that support core area growth are also considered. The company strives to maintain a high working interest and operate properties.
