ExpenseBay Partners With TripIt to Integrate Travel Plans

Expense Reports Are Automatically Created Once a TripIt Itinerary Is Complete

SANTA MONICA, CA--(Marketwire - August 11, 2009) - ExpenseBay, an emerging provider of on-demand (SaaS) Employee Expense Automation, announced today the availability to import TripIt travel plans. With TripIt data integrated, ExpenseBay users can have their expense reports automatically created to include any transaction or digital receipt that occurred during the trip's date range.

"Many of our users rely on TripIt to verify their business expenses when turning in an expense report. With the integration, ExpenseBay users can see their start and end dates from a trip aligned with their business transactions," says Eric Sikola, CEO and Founder of ExpenseBay. "The goal is to eliminate any manual entry when completing an expense report. With TripIt integrated, required fields such as airport codes and other travel content are automatically populated in the expense report."

The following features are available in ExpenseBay when a TripIt account is added:

-- Start and end date markers from each trip are overlaid with the user's
    business transactions.
-- ExpenseBay's Smart Report for TripIt automatically creates a user's
expense report once the trip end date occurs. Additional rules can be set
up to include or exclude categories or certain types of transactions.
-- Airline tickets purchased out of the TripIt data range are included in
    the expense reports.
-- Airport codes are automatically entered in the To/From fields within
ExpenseBay when matched with the transaction.

"Simplified expense reporting has always been a top request of TripIt's business traveler audience, so we're excited to see ExpenseBay leveraging the TripIt API for this purpose," said Scott Hintz, co-founder and VP business development at TripIt. "Now a traveler can book anywhere he wants, and through the TripIt master itinerary, easily combine everything into a streamlined expense report with ExpenseBay."
