Experian QAS and Government Insights Explore Effect of Data Quality on Government Initiatives and Constituent Services

Practice Director of Global Government Programs to Share Tips for Constituent Contact Management Success

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - May 20, 2008) - Experian QAS, a part of Experian® specializing in customer data quality software and services, today announced that on Thursday, May 22 it will co-host a webinar with Government Insights, an IDC company and global advisory services and market research firm. Global Government Programs practice director, Thom Rubel, will discuss why reliable, accurate contact information is essential for the effective, efficient delivery of public services, emergency response coordination and public sector IT modernization initiatives. Webinar participants will receive a complimentary copy of the attendant Government Insights report.

Rubel, who is noted for his thought-leadership on the topics of government strategy and technology and is frequently quoted by major media organizations, will draw on his decades of experience with government and IT organizations to comment on the status, impact and future of data management at local, state and federal government agencies.

"Government agencies at all levels are making substantial investments to improve mission outcomes and drive down the cost of delivering services," Rubel states. "By assuring reliable contact data quality, government agencies are improving their service levels while realizing time and cost savings due to reduced redundancy and all of the related human resources that are spent dealing with it due to duplicate entry, data storage, or in tracking down and correcting errors."

During the Webinar "Constituent Contact Data Quality: Meeting Government Imperatives," Rubel will share suggestions for developing government contact data quality management best practices such as:

-- Developing a governance plan for data control
-- Reducing manual processes used to input data into important
    operational systems
-- Minimizing problems at the point-of-capture before they can
    proliferate across multiple systems
