Experian QAS Releases Study on Government Agencies' Reactions to Move Update Changes

Data Quality Practices Enhance Ability to Comply With New Standards

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - October 19, 2009) - Experian® QAS®, a leading provider of customer data quality software and services, today released the "Government Agencies Affected by Move Update Requirement" report. The study reveals that despite the threat of fines from the USPS® with new Move Update standards, only 53 percent of agencies have a process in place to comply with the new regulations.

The report examines government agency compliance with new Move Update standards and overall address data quality practices. It also provides information on Move Update changes and strategic advice on how to make the most out of compliance regulations.

The report also found that agencies who had a process in place to clean or verify addresses noticed reduced costs in postage, less back-end work dealing with returned mail, fewer call center calls and fewer physical visits due to a bad address.
