Experienced Executive and Civic Leader Joins Capital Pacific Bancorp Board

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - November 13, 2007) - Sheryl A. Manning, an experienced business executive and active leader in civic and nonprofit organizations, has been elected to the board of directors of Capital Pacific Bancorp (OTCBB: CPBO).

"Sheryl will be a tremendous asset to our board," said Mark C. Stevenson, chief executive officer of Capital Pacific Bancorp. "As both a certified public accountant and businesswoman, she understands the needs of both the bank and our customers. Her strong credentials as an executive with nonprofit organizations will be of value as we continue to grow that key segment of our business."

Most recently, Manning was instrumental in the re-formation of the nonprofit entity Classic Wines Auction, Inc. into an independent entity in a move to enable it to serve additional children and family charities in the community. The Classic Wines auction raised over $2.7 million for children and family charities at its most recent event and has raised $16.4 million since its inception. She has also served as a commissioner for the Metropolitan Exposition Recreation Commission (MERC), and twice was asked to run day-to-day operations as the interim general manager.

A graduate of the University of Montana, she began her career in accounting, and worked for several leading accounting firms including Coopers & Lybrand and Arthur Andersen LLP. Eventually, she established her own independent accounting practice serving the needs of publicly held companies. Manning has served on the boards of several other corporate and community organizations including Albina Community Bank, Friends of the Performing Arts Center, Portland Youth Philharmonic and Oregon Ballet Theatre.
