Expertise Behind Adirondack Chairs From The Rocky River Rondack Company

HUDSON, OH--(Marketwire - May 9, 2011) - Adirondack chairs manufactured by The Rocky River Rondack Company, headquartered in Hudson, Ohio, are the result of real expertise and a real desire to relax.

After nearly 50 combined years of experience in the plastics industry, The Rocky River Rondack Company's co-founders Mike McKenna and Mark Reichard decided to put their feet up -- figuratively and literally.

"We wanted to take our collective knowledge and turn it into a way to spend more time with our families and to inspire others to do the same," said McKenna. "We believe in creating lasting memories -- that's what The Rocky River Rondack Company is all about."

The company's Rondack adirondack chairs are constructed from an engineered polymer designed to emulate the look of natural wood. Formulated for durability, weatherability and comfort, the premium adirondack chairs never require sanding, painting or sealing and still remain entirely recyclable. This saves customers a significant amount of time, not having to worry about annual maintenance.

"Our experience in the polymer industry has given us the critical insight it takes to create a premium, high-quality product," said McKenna. "We have spent our careers supplying process and performance additives to the plastics industry and have translated that into the best adirondack chair on the market."

McKenna's career began 17 years ago and has taken him around the world, at one time directing the North American Sales and Marketing activities for his London based employer. His focus on raw materials, research and development, and advanced production methods have allowed him to gain specialization and insight in the production of synthetic wood products.

Reichard, a 30-year veteran of the plastics industry, has developed his career in additives, pigments and resins and worked with some of the most well known chemical companies in the world such as DuPont, Dow Chemical and BASF.

"We believe that quality is born from experience," said McKenna. "We have developed a chair that can be left outside all year, will never fade and is resistant to any type of organic growth."

In addition to their quality construction, Rondack adirondack chairs are reclinable and foldable -- meaning they are both comfortable and easy to transport and store.
