Explor Increases Eastford Lake Gold Property

ROUYN-NORANDA, CANADA--(Marketwire - Sept. 10, 2007) - Explor Resources Inc., (TSX VENTURE:EXS) is pleased to announce the increase to its land position in the Eastford Lake Gold Project by the acquisition of 57 contiguous mining claims (912 ha) by staking. The Eastford Lake Gold Property is located in Kerrs, Warden, Milligan Twps and the Rayner Lake area of Ontario in the famous Timmins-Porcupine mining camp.

The Eastford Lake Gold Property now consists of 194 contiguous unpatented mining units for a total of 3,104 hectares located in the Timmins-Porcupine Mining Camp. The property is accessed via a 16 kilometre all weather gravel road from highway 101 to the south of the property. The city of Timmins is located 70 km to the west.

The recently completed Phase III drilling has confirmed the application of the Hollinger/McIntyre gold model to the Eastford Lake Gold Project. Multiple zones of komatiitic ultramafic flows are interbedded with iron-rich basalts. These flows are intruded by feldspar porphyry sills and irregularly shaped quartz-feldspar porphyry (QFP) bodies. A complex deformation zone of sub-parallel shears traverses these rocks in an east-northeast direction. The deformation zone is marked by strong quartz/carbonate alteration, talc/chorite alteration of ultramafics, bleaching and silicification of basalts and sericite alteration of QFP's. Strongly anomalous gold up to 1.3 grams/tonne over 1.5 m is found associated with the deformation zone. The gold mineralized deformation zone is coincident with the northern, or "up-ice" cut-off of a large cluster of gold and mercury in soil geochemical anomalies. Phase III drilling has determined that the gold values increase in a northeast direction and in close association with a large sericitized QFP intrusion which has true width greater than 200 m and undetermined strike length.

Explor plans on conducting a Phase IV exploration program. Phase IV will consist of a two part program. Firstly, line cutting and ground geophysics will be used to determine the location of drill targets northeast of the large sericitized QFP. Secondly, diamond drilling the identified target or targets and down-hole IP to test for pyritic gold zones near newly discovered gold enriched sections.
