Exploration Analyst Brent Cook Joins Cornerstone Advisory Board

MOUNT PEARL, NEWFOUNDLAND--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 12, 2005) - Cornerstone Capital Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CGP) is pleased to announce that Brent Cook, B.Sc., has joined its Advisory Board as a special advisor on the company's Latin American projects.

"Our projects in Ecuador have become a major focus for Cornerstone," stated President Glen McKay, "and we are very fortunate indeed to have access to Brent Cook's assistance on these and future projects in the region."

Mr. Cook is a graduate of Utah State University and is an independent exploration analyst who has devoted over 25 years to the exploration, evaluation and development of mineral properties. His experience spans all aspects of the mining business from the conceptual stage through to detailed technical and financial modeling. He has consulted for numerous major and junior companies in over 40 countries. The discovery and evaluation of early to mid-stage gold projects has been focal point of his career along with a depth of experience in base metal, uranium, platinum and various industrial mineral projects.

Cornerstone also wishes to announce that 100,000 stock options have been granted to Mr. Cook. The options are exercisable at $0.435 in accord with company policy.
