ROSEMONT, IL--(Marketwired - Jul 20, 2016) - Thousands of engineers, manufacturers and production managers will have the opportunity to evaluate the latest technologies and products in custom automated assembly systems, mixed model assembly, robotic assembly, workstations, welding, vision systems, and much more at the 4th Annual ASSEMBLY Show 2016 being held from Tuesday, October 25 - Thursday, October 27 at the Donald E. According to industry statistics women comprise 47 percent of the U.S. workforce, but only 24 percent of the personnel at durable-goods manufacturers. At a time when U.S. manufacturers are desperate to find the next generation of skilled workers, engineers and managers, women represent the largest pool of untapped talent. In this thought-provoking panel discussion, Rosie the Riveter 2.0: Recruiting and Retaining Women in Manufacturing, several prominent women in manufacturing will share their perspectives on how to support, promote and inspire women who are pursuing, or who have chosen to pursue, careers in manufacturing. The panel discussion will be held on Thursday, October 27 from 12:30 - 1:30 pm and will feature the following panelists:
- Chelsea Becker, Project Manager, Baldor, A Member of the ABB Group
- Elizabeth Rolinski, Global Vice President Manufacturing Engineering, Johnson Controls
- Shelley Ryan Carlson, Director of Global Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Danfoss
- Gina Vassallo, Engineered Value Chain Program Manager, Caterpillar Inc.
