VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 3, 2007 -- John Clarke, President and CEO of Nevsun Resources (AMEX: NSU) (TSX: NSU), will be featured live on Market News First (www.mn1.com) for an exclusive live interview with the MN1 news team. The interview will take place Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 9:00 am CDT.

The Group's principal activities are to invest, explore and develop mineral properties in Africa. Nevsun is a junior gold producer with production at the Tabakoto-Segala Gold Mine in Mali, West Africa. Gold production is unhedged giving Nevsun complete exposure to buoyant gold prices.

Nevsun continues to advance the high grade gold/copper/zinc Bisha project in Eritrea, East Africa with completion of the Feasibility Study in October 2006 and the Social Environmental Impact Assessment in December 2006. At recent commodity prices (Au $650/oz, Cu $3.00/lb, Zn $1.50/lb, Ag $13/oz) the project has a net asset value of US$1.9 billion after capital, operating costs, government royalties and government taxes. The Bisha feasibility study focuses on two years of oxide ore producing about 450,000 ounces of gold per year for the first 2 years starting in mid 2009. Nevsun is currently in discussions with the government of Eritrea regarding the development of a mining agreement with the view of taking the Bisha project into production.
