Express Logic Joins Andes Technology Corp.'s New Internet of Things Community Knect.me(TM) to Provide Software Stack Solutions

Knect Partner Express Logic Provides Run-Time Solutions for SoC Design Teams Building Deeply Embedded Applications

HSINCHU, TAIWAN--(Marketwired - June 24, 2015) - Andes Technology Corporation, the leading Asia-based suppliers of small, low-power, high performance 32-bit embedded CPU cores, today announced that Express Logic has joined Knect.me, the new Internet of Things community that provides open-source, and commercial solutions for connected devices. Express Logic will provide the Knect community the most advanced run-time solution for deeply embedded applications, including the popular ThreadX® RTOS, the high-performance NetX™ TCP/IP stack, the FileX® embedded MS-DOS compatible file system, the new GUIX™ GUI development toolkit, and the USBX™ Host/Device USB protocol stack.

"We are pleased to contribute to Andes' Knect community," said William E. Lamie, CEO of Express Logic. "Engineering teams building IoT devices face short time to market windows and are opting to buy best in class elements that are essential to their design but not part of their core competency. Having our ThreadX RTOS and extensive middleware offerings -- FileX®, NetX™ Duo, USBX™, GUIX™, and TraceX™, designers know they have a complete solution for the IoT device they're planning to develop for the wide range of end use applications from automotive, industrial control, medical, smart energy, and many others."

"We are very pleased that Express Logic is providing their advanced run-time solutions for deeply embedded applications to the Software Stack section of the Knect community," said Charlie Hong-Men Su, Ph.D. Andes Technology CTO and Senior Vice President of R&D. "The Knect Software Stack comprises software building blocks for smart devices and Internet of Things applications, including device drivers, real-time operating systems, middleware, protocol stacks, and IoT APIs running on AndesCore. It provides choices of open source software, and production-proven, certified and optimized software by Knect partners including Express Logic to fulfill a wide range of smart products and emerging applications development requirements."
