Extreme CCTV Partner, Obzerv, Reports Range-Gated Night Vision System Sale to French Army; ATV2000i Range-Gated Active-Imager to be Used for Long Range Night Vision

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - July 8, 2005) - Extreme CCTV Inc. (TSX:EXC), a leader in night vision surveillance, reported today that strategic development partner Obzerv Technologies Inc. based in Quebec City, has announced it was awarded a contract to deliver one ATV2000i, the long-range laser night vision surveillance camera developed by Obzerv, to the French Army Parisian Expertise Center (DGA/DET/CEP).

The ATV2000i is an electro-optical device that utilizes a DALIS™ (Diode Array Laser Illumination System) and range-gating camera to provide long-range night vision functions in complete darkness and in degraded weather conditions such as rain, fog and snow. The ATV2000i's imaging capabilities cannot be matched by any other technology such as thermal imaging or passive ICCDs. In total darkness, the ATV2000i can read license plates at up to 2km, recognize a human being at up to 5km, read a ship's registration past 5km and classify a vehicle beyond 10km. The resulting real-time video images provide critical surveillance for today's new security challenges.
