Eye Remember, Canada-Do You?

CNIB Reminds Canadians to Enter the Eye Remember Photo Contest Before May 18th

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 12, 2011) - May is Vision Health Month, and CNIB is reminding Canadians that there is just one week left to submit a memorable photo in the exciting Eye Remember contest.

Visit and upload a photograph that represents a cherished memory – whether it's a shot from your honeymoon, a memory from a cherished vacation spot or an old black and white that makes you smile. Contestants are also asked to include a brief description of why the photograph reminds them to be proactive about their vision health.

All uploaded photos will be reviewed by three celebrity judges – internationally-renowned photographer Peter Bregg, National Geographic photographer Steve Uzzell and author, Jean-Michel Dufaux. They will select five photos based on creativity and originality.

After that, the finalists' fate will lie in the hands of the Canadian public. Canadians can vote online to pick their favourite shot and the contestant with the most votes will win a once-in-a-lifetime trip for two to one of four popular Canadian vacation destinations, including Banff (Alberta), Quebec City (Quebec), Niagara Falls (Ontario) and the Okanagan Valley (British Columbia).

The contest closes on Wednesday, May 18, so be sure to enter your photo today!

As part of CNIB's annual glaucoma awareness program, the Eye Remember campaign educates Canadians about the importance of detecting glaucoma early in life.
