EyeTech to Launch Exciting New Eye Tracking Technology

EyeTech Is Proud to Announce the Release of Its New EyeTech VT2 Eye Tracker, Industry-Leading Technology Offering Researchers and Other Professionals Improved Performance and Usability

MESA, AZ--(Marketwire - March 30, 2011) - Long time eye tracking hardware and software developer EyeTech will soon release the next generation of its eye tracking technology, the EyeTech VT2.

The new version of the EyeTech system will feature greater head movement range, a single USB cable connection and unprecedented speeds of over 200 Hz (depending on the configuration). The new system will also be more accurate and easier to use, while still keeping prices affordable.

"The improved tracking performance and simple USB connection will enable large scale deployment of our eye tracking systems into home panel and shopping mall locations for faster and more efficient data collection for some of our large global research partners. The EyeTech VT2 will open up a whole new realm of possibilities," said Keith Jackson, Sales & Marketing Director at EyeTech. (http://www.eyetechds.com/)

Eye tracking technology has quickly become an important tool for many industries and individuals; Human Computer Interaction and Human Factors Research are just the start. EyeTech's eye tracking system is currently used to research and improve the effectiveness of a wide range of static and digital media such as product packaging, billboards, interactive displays, website usability, and mobile advertising.

Providing accessibility for the disabled has extended the use of this technology even further. EyeTech's eye tracking systems have opened the world of computing and television up to paraplegics and those with physical disabilities who would otherwise be unable to use them. They are also being used by computer users suffering from repetitive strain injuries (RSI).

The EyeTech VT2 will be available to the public in April 2011.
