Facebook Users Can Now Create a Wetpaint Wiki to Collaborate With Friends on Class Notes, Party Planning, Trips, and More

Wetpaint Launches Wiki Application for Facebook

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - October 16, 2007) - Wetpaint (www.wetpaint.com), the consumer-friendly wiki for collaborating and publishing online, today announced the debut of the Wiki Whiteboard by Wetpaint for Facebook. Wiki Whiteboard makes it possible for Facebook users to instantly collaborate wiki-style with their friends within Facebook. To help Facebook users get started, Wiki Whiteboard features several starter templates, including "Class Notes," "Party Planner," "Spring Break Planner," "Video Gallery," "Sorority/Fraternity," and "Dorm Hall." Users can also start from scratch to launch a wiki on any topic, and be automatically connected to wikis for any Facebook group they've joined.

"Over 40 million people have turned to Facebook to connect with others, whether to keep in touch with friends, upload photos, and share videos or just to learn more abut the people they've met," said Ben Elowitz, CEO of Wetpaint. "With Wiki Whiteboard by Wetpaint, Facebook users now can connect in deeper ways through collaborative content creation around favorite topics or events without leaving Facebook and without needing to be an expert in wiki syntax or HTML."

The Wiki Whiteboard application provides the same easy-to-use Wetpaint Wiki editing features that consumers and major brands have used to launch more than 500,000 collaborative communities since the company launched in June 2006. Anyone who adds the Wetpaint Wiki application to their Facebook profile will immediately be able to create wikis where friends can easily add or edit text, photos, YouTube videos, Vizu polls, and other Web widgets.

To start a Wetpaint Wiki Whiteboard, sign in to or create a Facebook account. Next, simply search the Facebook Application directory for Wetpaint or visit the Wiki Whiteboard page and click "Add Application." Once the application has been added, you're ready to start wikis from scratch or enhance your favorite Facebook group with wiki-style collaboration.

Coordinated with the launch of the Wiki Whiteboard Facebook application, Wetpaint is also announcing the "Makin' Wiki Sweepstakes," to randomly award a free 8G iPhone to one lucky person who creates a Facebook wiki using the Wetpaint Wiki Whiteboard application.
