FaceTime Announces Record Growth and New Corporate Name

60 Percent Growth During 2010 Demonstrates Growing Market Acceptance for Compliance and Security Platform

BELMONT, CA--(Marketwire - January 25, 2011) -  FaceTime, enabling the safe and compliant use of unified communications, collaboration and Web 2.0, today announced record growth of 60 percent during 2010. The Company is also unveiling its new corporate name -- Actiance (www.actiance.com), which better reflects its focus on "active compliance" for next generation communications in the enterprise.

60 Percent Growth

Actiance enjoyed billings growth of 60 percent from 2009 to 2010 reflecting broad acceptance of its compliance and security platform within large enterprises.

Actiance's platforms are now deployed extensively within large enterprises including nine out of the top ten US banks, all of the top five Canadian banks, three of the top five global independent energy companies and myriad large enterprises across other industries. Additionally, more than 70 percent of all individuals who work in the financial services industry in North America are employed by Actiance customers.

New Capabilities

To address the ever-changing communications landscape in today's enterprise, Actiance also launched new capabilities in 2010, adding support for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and multiple UC and collaboration applications.

"Our business has always been about providing active compliance and security, from our heritage in the world of instant messaging to our support of Unified Communications and social networking," said Kailash Ambwani, CEO of Actiance. "As the Internet has changed and the communications profile of the enterprise has evolved, so has our platform. We've consistently delivered a trusted platform for our customers to depend on for their security, management and compliance requirements.

Security and Compliance Platform

As enterprises adopt consumer communications applications brought into the corporate environment by end users, they are increasingly faced with the challenges of securing, managing and ensuring those communications meet regulatory and corporate compliance requirements. Actiance enables organizations to productively and safely use communications and collaboration technology while meeting and overcoming these challenges.

"By 2014, social networking services will replace e-mail as the primary vehicle for interpersonal communications for 20 percent of business users," according to David Mario Smith of Gartner Research in a 2009 report entitled Predicts 2010: Social Software is an Enterprise Reality. "During the next several years most companies will be building out internal social networks and/or allowing business use of personal social network accounts. New employees will enter the workforce with a predisposition to communicate via social networks, but they will use e-mail in parallel -- optimizing the business need with the communication modality."

The Actiance platform includes the solutions customers have relied on for years: Unified Security Gateway (USG), Vantage, Socialite and Insight, and enables organizations to address enterprise challenges that include regulation, eDiscovery and increasing security and control requirements. Additionally, a rapidly expanding social media landscape continues to confront enterprises with issues of data leakage, record retention obligations and a requirement to enforce corporate policies across increasing modalities. Actiance also enables organizations to remain in control over the continuous monitoring and management of this rapidly changing area, providing the flexibility for an enterprise's employees to use the tools they have come to rely on.
