Fairfield Dentist Implements New Tool to Give Pain-Free Injections

FAIRFIELD, OH--(Marketwired - August 24, 2015) - Afraid of the shots at the dentist? Fairfield dentist Dr. Andrew Dine has a new piece of technology that can take the pain and fear out of dental visits.

Dr. Dine recently implemented the new Vibe 4 DentalVibe into his practice. The DentalVibe is a handheld device that allows dentists to deliver local anesthesia pain-free while preparing the mouth for dental procedures.

"I’ve used the DentalVibe in my practice for the last several years, and it works wonders for patients who are nervous or fearful about the dentist," Dr. Dine said. "Patients often dread the pain from the shot, and we dentists hate having our patients endure any dental pain. The DentalVibe helps us eliminate pain and makes the patient more comfortable."

The tip of the DentalVibe tool vibrates as the local anesthesia is being rendered. The sensation of the vibration blocks the pain sensation from reaching the brain. Dr. Dine uses the DentalVibe for every patient who needs an injection.

Dr. Dine has found that the DentalVibe works for 98 percent of patients, and it causes the local anesthesia to quickly take effect. He added that the handheld tool can eliminate fear of the dentist and help patients get the care they need.

"Millions of Americans fear the dentist so much that they avoid a dental office at all costs. This often leads to serious oral health problems or even total tooth loss," Dr. Dine said. "The DentalVibe can eliminate the fear of injection, giving the patient a brighter and healthier smile."

Dr. Dine has been in practice for 38 years, serving the communities of Fairfield, Fairfield Township, Middletown, Ross, Hamilton, West Chester, Liberty Township and areas in Butler County, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1971 and then Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1976.

His practice -- Clock Tower Place, 1251 Nilles Road, Suite 16 -- offers preventive care, cosmetic dentistry (tooth-colored fillings, teeth whitening at the dentist, Sinsational Smile), restorations (dental crowns, dental bridges, root canal procedures and implant-supported dentures) and gum disease treatments. Dr. Dine’s practice uses a state-of-the-art digital X-ray machine that provides images instantly, uses 80 percent less radiation than traditional X-rays and does not require the patient to have the uncomfortable X-ray film in their mouth.

Dr. Dine began offering Fastbraces™ in 2014. The brackets used with Fastbraces™ work on a different mechanical principle than that of traditional braces. The patented system uses an innovative triangular bracket and a specially shaped square wire to correct the position of the root and the crown of the tooth from the beginning of treatment. Because Fastbraces™ realigns the root and crown simultaneously, it works in half the time of traditional braces, which realign the two in separate stages.

Dr. Dine is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, an honor given to dentists who have taken 500 hours of continuing education and passed a seven-hour written examination on all disciplines of dentistry. He is a member of the Ohio Dental Association, Cincinnati Dental Society, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and Better Business Bureau. He also is a founding member of the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health.

Dr. Dine makes it his mission to serve all families and patients, which is why his office offers special financing programs for treatment.
