Fairfield Inn & Suites Tampa North Sees Promotions, Additions in Staff

Three Primary Roles Filled by Existing and New Associates at Hotel in North Tampa

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL--(Marketwired - Nov 18, 2013) - A team is only as strong as its members, and at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Tampa, the lineup is already pretty impressive. Recently, the Tampa hotel near University of South Florida took steps to make its starting lineup even more powerful by promoting existing and hiring new associates to fill three key positions.

Matthew Berry was promoted to assistant general manager of this eco-friendly North Tampa hotel after just 5 years of service on property. Berry started his time as a front desk associate before working up to guest services manager and now into his new position. When he's not on the job, Berry supports local sports teams and is considering a return to stand-up comedy.

With Berry's promotion, the guest services manager position was left open, and Bret Peretz was just the person for the job. In the first 8 months of his 2 1/2 years here, Peretz moved from front desk associate of this hotel in North Tampa to sales and service coordinator, and then held both positions until recently being promoted to guest services manager. Outside of work, Peretz is the manager for the band Displace.

While Berry and Peretz were promoted from within the existing staff, Dayra Downer is a brand-new addition and joins the team as executive housekeeper. Downer brings 5 years of hotel experience to the Fairfield Inn & Suites Tampa North. She began as a front desk associate and housekeeper for Fairfield Inn & Suites Gainesville before spending 3 years as executive housekeeper at the Double Tree Rocky Point in Tampa. When she's not working, Downer enjoys traveling and spending time with her kids.

With the right people in the right positions, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Tampa North is able to offer guests the best stay possible. In addition to a personable, qualified team, the hotel offers newly renovated guest rooms, complimentary hot breakfast, an outdoor pool, fitness center, free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour market.
