Calgary Farmers' Market Annual Pie Bake Off
October 7 and 8 - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The 4th Annual Pie Bake off is underway again this year! With help from vendors in the Calgary Farmers' Market, we will see who takes the title for the best pie voted by you. Make a cash donation to the Calgary Food Bank and sample these delicious pies, satisfy your taste buds and help ensure all Calgarians have food on their plates this Thanksgiving. Your ballot will also place you in a draw for a prize announced on Saturday afternoon along with the best pie!

Fall for East Village

East Village loves fall! Come warm up to the season at the 4th annual Fall for East Village - an autumn harvest festival on Thanksgiving weekend! Live music, tasty treats, artisan wares, autumn themed games and crafts, and a giant leaf pit to keep the entire family busy. Don't forget to bring a non-perishable food item or some spare change - a donation to the Calgary Food Bank gets you a pumpkin from the patch.

Willow Park Wines & Spirits Thanksgiving Taste to Buy

Willow Park Wines & Spirits sales are a "Taste to Buy" experience. Almost all of the wine, beer & spirits featured this weekend are also open for tasting. Try before you buy is our motto and we will be happy to pull the cork on almost everything featured during this sale. This weekend, in partnership with The Calgary Food Bank we will be offering a drop off location for food items along with a Calgary Food Bank table accepting cash donations in-store (October 8, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.). During the Thanksgiving holiday season, many families in need turn to the food bank for help, these donations will help replenish much needed stock. #GivingThanks

Calgary Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival

Wine and food lovers are invited to indulge at the 19th Annual Calgary Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival! Enjoy a distinguished collection of wines from around the globe, along with premium spirits, single malt and blended scotches, port, specialty liqueurs, and import and micro-brewed beer. Guests can pair beverages with a delicious selection of nibbles from local restaurants, hotels and food purveyors. Donations to the Calgary Food Bank are encouraged and all donors will receive a special prize ballot for their chance to win a fantastic prize package!

Calgary Zombie Walk

Join us at the Annual Calgary Zombie Walk on October 15! Arrive early at 12 p.m. to work on your makeup and meet fellow walkers. Both non-perishable and monetary donations will be collected and are encouraged for your chance to win prizes. Every item donated gets you an entry into the draw!

YYC Rocks for Recovery
October 16 - 12 p.m. to October 17 - 2 a.m.

TLB Group, in collaboration with the local music community, supporters and sponsors is pleased to present YYC Rocks for Recovery! A minimum $10 donation at the door gains you access to over 20 bands playing throughout the day and evening. This fundraiser will provide 100% of the proceeds to the Oxford House with a goal of $10,000 for Oxford House, which would cover the cost of 5 residents for a year! Non-perishable food donations will also be collected on behalf of the Calgary Food Bank.

Purolator Tackle Hunger® Game Day Food Drive

Back for its 14th year, the Purolator Tackle Hunger® program teams up with the Calgary Stampeders to raises awareness, food and funds for the Calgary Food Bank. Purolator organizes a game day food drive in every Canadian Football League city, encouraging fans to drop off non-perishable food items or a cash donation in support of local food banks. Fans will have the opportunity to get a photo with the Grey Cup in the East parking lot before the game. Calgary Food Bank Volunteers will be collecting donations at all open gates from 6 p.m. until the end of the first quarter. Cheer on the Calgary Stampeders as they face the Toronto Argonauts. Gates open at 7 p.m. Kickoff at 8 p.m.

Calgary Community Painters Society Fall Art Show & Sale

Calgary Community Painters Society is hosting their Annual Fall Art Show & Sale on Saturday, October 22! Featuring art in all mediums what better way to spend an Autumn day. Both non-perishable and monetary donations will be collected for the Calgary Food Bank.

Oktoberfest Run

This 5 and 10 km run is part of the second annual Spruce Meadows Run Series and this month's event benefits the Calgary Food Bank! Register today for family pricing and compete for Oktoberfest costume prizes!

Zombie Evasion Run
October 22 - 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
North Glenmore Park - 66 Ave SW & 37 Street SW
The Calgary Zombie Evasion is a chip-timed 5km run! The trail run event takes place at North Glenmore Park and each runner will wear a flag football-style belt. If you make it through the course with any of your flags left, you've finished "alive"! If the zombies take all of your flags... you've become infected and will finish as a part of the "undead". Donate to the Calgary Food Bank or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada to receive more health flags!

Grace Market Cafe

Wander the autumn market and visit the café for a warm beverage and a slice of pie! Calgary's largest YARD HAUNT has returned again, this year in the hopes of scaring all those who enter! Non-perishable donations will be accepted on behalf of the Calgary Food Bank. Be sure to make your way over and expect to be scared! Low scare times: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Come Thrill The World at this year's Thrill Calgary! This giant Zombie "Thriller" Flash Mob will get you moving in support of the Calgary Food Bank. Both non-perishable and monetary donations will be accepted. Don't miss out on the fun for all ages and don't forget to dress up!
