Famed UK Guitarist Adrian Legg Offers Fans and Students Transcriptions of Over 20 of His Best Known Compositions for $2 Each on His Website

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 19, 2012) - Long revered as an influential acoustic guitarist of "astonishing virtuosity" (Q Magazine) and loved by critics and audiences around the globe for his "narrative melodies and nakedly emotive tones" (Atlanta Journal-Constitution), Adrian Legg is always finding new ways to connect with fans and make a musical difference in their lives.

In addition to the usual biographical and musical content on his website (, the technical visionary -- who is known for his melding of acoustic and amplified guitar modes -- includes a Tab/Notation section in which he sells transcriptions of over 20 of his best loved tunes from his three decade long recording career for $2.00 USD each.

"I wrote out a lot of material with some idea of perhaps making another book," he says, "but then took up the offer of a teaching slot at a UK music college for a year.

"I went back to how I'd started to learn to play with my right hand fingers, and found that the way I'd developed over time actually formed a viable course. My compositions also reflected that technical development, so it was quite a simple matter to tie them in to that.

"It doesn't matter if it's acoustic or electric, although ultimately the electric is much more flexible, and there are whole areas of what I do that are not feasible on an acoustic," Legg adds. "Along the way people have asked me for transcriptions of my pieces, so I hope what I've written out so far meets some of their requests. Nothing makes me happier than hearing my students play these songs and understand them."

The guitarist celebrates the release of his latest recording Slow Guitar -- his first album since 2004's critically acclaimed Inheritance and first ever self-released project -- with a highly anticipated 17 city U.S. tour this July that hits cities on the East Coast and in the Midwest.

The readers of Britain's Guitarist magazine named him Acoustic Guitarist of the Decade (1984-94). He later won Best Acoustic Fingerstylist four years running, Best Overall Guitar Album and Best Acoustic Album twice in the Guitar Player readers' poll.
