Family Social Network SquareHub Joins the Clutch Collaborative

Business Incubator Infuses Experienced Leadership and Innovation on Pathway to Funding

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - Dec 16, 2014) - The Clutch Collaborative (, a Seattle-based boutique incubator, today announced the addition of SquareHub (, a private social network designed exclusively for families to its portfolio. Through joining the Collaborative, SquareHub will be infused with key leadership, development, and marketing from consulting firm Clutch ( to further refine the company's growth strategy, innovate on its core technology, and continue momentum towards further funding. Since its founding in 2012, SquareHub has attracted tens of thousands of engaged families, across Apple iOS, Android, and Kindle devices.

"SquareHub's co-founders have turned a great idea into a fully functioning and highly utilized private social network, creating a solid foundation of technology on which we can now innovate," said Steven Anderson, Co-Founder of the Clutch Collaborative and top executive at Clutch. "SquareHub's disruptive approach in the social network space makes it an ideal startup for the Collaborative. We're very intrigued about how this technology can be applied for the benefit of more families and excited about returning value to its current and future investors."

The Clutch Collaborative provides organizations the intellectual capital required at every level of a company to create the value necessary for a successful funding or liquidity event. In contrast to the more common incubator model based primarily on seed funding, the Collaborative infuses start-ups with top talent and also provides access to capital, turning creative ideas into funded innovations.

As SquareHub enters the Clutch Collaborative incubator, the Clutch team will focus on identifying additional and higher value opportunities for families beyond private messaging to increase engagement across all family members, create more viral acquisition, and establish a more robust network effect for the collection of SquareHub families.

"We're really proud of how far this technology has come and the feedback from customers," said Dave Cotter, Co-Founder of SquareHub. "The focus, experience, and connections to investors Clutch Collaborative offers, is a great opportunity for SquareHub to leave the incubator with a next gen product to capture the currently unfulfilled market opportunity for a social network dedicated to families. We're really excited to see where Clutch can take SquareHub."

"SquareHub's core technology has been proven, so this is the perfect time to enter such a unique incubator model as the Collaborative," said Geoff Entress, Super Angel investor and SquareHub investor. "We're excited to see how this experience can accelerate the company's progress towards further funding and revenue generation."

"Every startup reaches that inflection point that is critical to long term success," said Sujal Patel, SquareHub investor and Founder of Isilon Systems. "This could be SquareHub's time and we're eager to see how the Clutch Collaborative team can take SquareHub to the next level."
