Famous Players Paramount Vancouver Opens to the Public
on Friday, April 15, 2005!

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - March 28, 2005) - Famous
Players, one of Canada's largest movie exhibitors, is proud to announce
that the Paramount Vancouver, the company's downtown flagship location
at Burrard and Smithe, will open its box office to the public at 11:30AM
on Friday, April 15th, 2005. For theatre information and showtimes,

The $7.7 million state-of-the-art complex features all of the amenities
of a modern-day movie theatre. All auditoriums have large, comfortable,
stadium-style seating with plenty of legroom; wall-to-wall,
floor-to-ceiling curved screens; and the latest in sound and projection
technology. As with all Famous Players theatres in the Lower Mainland,
opening ticket prices will be $10.95 or less. The theatre will employ
approximately 150 full time and part time staff.

With 4 stories of windows on both the Burrard and Smithe sides, the
theatre offers passers-by a transparent view of the interior, as well as
the street scene beyond. The theatre features 4 box office tills and 8
Automatic Ticketing Machines in the main entrance lobby, with escalators
leading up three stories to auditorium entrances. More auditoriums are
located up another set of escalators to a third level. In total, there
are 9 auditoriums, ranging in size from 147 to 461 seats, for a grand
total of 2,144 seats. One auditorium is also equipped with Rear Window
Captioning and Descriptive Video Services for Guests who are deaf,
deafened, hard of hearing, blind or visually impaired. Underground
parking will also be available at the theatre.

As well as traditional concession favourites like popcorn, pop and
candy, the Paramount Vancouver also offers other popular options like
Burger King, Taco Bell, KFC, TCBY, a Bubble Tea outlet and a Seattle's
Best Coffee.

Unique interior design features include "Techno Zen" concepts, such as:
"tree-trunk" concession stands, video "techno totems", a 20-foot high
water curtain - acting as a video projection screen - with choreographed
water leapers, a techno "chandelier" above the escalator, as well as
other exciting elements.

The third floor Club Room, which offers a panoramic view of downtown
Vancouver, is available for corporate and private rentals. The theatre
is also equipped with satellite technology, perfect for any large event
with a remote broadcast location.

"This theatre is our flagship location in the Lower Mainland, and
possibly for our entire circuit," said Robb Chase, President and CEO of
Famous Players. "We are excited to finally bring our Paramount brand to
downtown Vancouver."

Celebrating its 85th anniversary, Famous Players is Canada's top
grossing theatrical exhibitor. Internationally recognized for its
superior technology and innovation in theatre design and guest services,
the company operates a total of 82 locations with 785 screens across the
country, including theatres in its joint venture with IMAX and its
partnership with Alliance Atlantis. Famous Players is a division of
