VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 9, 2012) - Fancamp Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:FNC) wishes to announce that it has commenced an 8,500 metre drill program on its 100% owned Lac Lamêlée iron property, with the objective of establishing an NI 43-101 compliant indicated and measured resource. The program is expected to be completed in October, 2012.
A total of 17 holes (5,625 m) have previously been drilled, with the best hole yielding an intersection of 28.4% total iron over 199m. The Company's news release of December 12, 2011 summarized the results for the complete 2011 drill program.
This property has potential for a significant iron resource and given its proximity to Champion Minerals' Consolidated Fire Lake North properties and their near term production possibilities, it could indeed be a significant asset for the Company.
Champion Minerals has a right of first refusal on this property should Fancamp elect to bring in another party.
