FanSnap Expands Fast and Easy Ticket Search to Bing

Sports Fans Can Now Use Bing to Quickly Compare and Purchase Tickets From Across the Web

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - December 15, 2010) - FanSnap®, the leading ticket comparison-shopping site, today announced plans to team up with Bing, the Decision Engine from Microsoft Corp., to seamlessly incorporate FanSnap's industry-leading comprehensive live events catalogue and patent-pending interactive FanSnap Maps(SM) into Bing search results.

Fans searching for sports tickets on Bing can now compare tickets from 50+ of the largest and most trusted ticket marketplace and broker ticket sites, saving time and money. Tickets through FanSnap in Bing will launch to sports fans today and to theater and concertgoers in the coming weeks.

"With FanSnap integration into Bing, fans now have access to the most comprehensive and accurate ticket results all in one place," said Stefan Weitz, Director, Bing. "By incorporating FanSnap's interactive maps into Bing, we are making it easier for consumers to compare prices and sample views to make the best decision about which tickets to purchase."

FanSnap's ticket results currently include more than 14 million tickets to 68,000 events. FanSnap brings its industry-pioneering key features to Bing, the most prominent being its patent-pending interactive FanSnap Maps(SM), which help fans to:

  • determine at-a-glance the ticket price range by section of the venue, using colored "heat map" markers
  • zoom into the interactive venue maps, and quickly compare ticket offers from numerous ticket providers placed in clearly labeled rows
  • view 'Best Value Tickets'(SM) which highlight at-a-glance those tickets that are priced significantly lower than surrounding seats, identified by blue stars on the map, and
  • see the growing number of "view-from-seat" photos provided for many sports venues

"Fans rely on Bing for the latest sports and entertainment news and information," said FanSnap CEO and co-founder Mike Janes. "We are pleased to work together to provide those fans with visibility into tickets available on the market, and the tools to help them make great ticket buying decisions so they can see their favorites live," said Janes.
