Far West Mining Ltd. Reports Drilling in Chile in the
4c Target Area Continues/Drilling in the 4a Target
Area to Commence in April

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - March 30, 2005) - Far West
Mining Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:FWM) -

The Company's Exploration Exposure Expands With the Launch of a
FALCON™ Airborne Survey for Porphyry Copper Deposits in Argentina

Far West Mining Ltd., is pleased to announce that a FALCON™ airborne
survey covering 7,270 sq km of the BHP Billiton / Far West Mining Ltd.
Farallon Negro porphyry copper Project Area in Argentina is in progress.

Farallon Negro Project / Argentina

The Farallon Negro Project Area is located in the Argentinean Andes
which are ranked among the top five prospective magmatic arcs in the
world for the exploration for porphyry Cu-Au deposits. Conventional
exploration for giant porphyry copper deposits in much of the
Argentinean Andes is, however, hindered by extensive post mineral cover
as it is in the area to be explored. The Project Area covers pampas
north and south of the district hosting the Alumbrera (752Mt @ 0.51% Cu
& 0.67 g/t Au) and the Agua Rica (802Mt @ 0.61% Cu & 0.23 g/t Au)

The FALCON™ gravity/gradiometric/magnetic airborne survey being
carried out will significantly reduce exploration risk and expense by
identifying specific target areas for ground follow-up geophysics and
drilling. It is anticipated that the airborne survey will be completed
by the end of April.

Candelaria Project / Chile

On February 28 Far West commenced its first drill program of 2005 in the
4c Target Area to further evaluate the potential of Target 4c3 in the
vicinity of drill hole 4c3-03-001, which previously intersected 2.47%
copper over 64m and to test geological and geophysical targets in Target
areas 4c3, 4c8 and 4c9. The program was recently expanded to drill 23
holes from the 15 originally planned so that all obvious targets would
be tested in the initial pass. To March 26, 19 holes (4,350m) have been
completed. A return to the 4c Target Area will largely depend on the
results of the current program.

The first phase of drilling (4,500m) to be carried out in 2005 in the 4a
Target Area (Santo Domingo) is scheduled to commence in mid to late

The in-house qualified persons responsible for the Candelaria Project
