Farallon Drilling Continues to Add to Resources at Campo Morado: New Discovery at G-9, Delineation and Expansion at El Rey and El Largo

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 6, 2005) - Dick Whittington, President and CEO of Farallon Resources Ltd., (TSX:FAN) is pleased to provide the latest results of core drilling at the Company's Campo Morado polymetallic (zinc, gold, silver, copper, lead) project in Guerrero State, Mexico. Assay results from several new drill holes have been received which continue to enhance the potential of the project.

These latest results are derived from new exploration drilling, deposit delineation drilling, and metallurgical and geotechnical drilling. Of particular note is a 14.86 metre intersection in hole 420 at the G-9 deposit, grading 14.16% zinc, 1.06 g/t gold, 67 g/t silver, 1.76% copper and 0.69% lead. This includes a 10 metre section that grades 17.91% zinc, 1.41 g/t gold, 91 g/t silver, 1.96% copper and 0.97% lead. These zinc grades are the highest encountered in drilling on the Campo Morado project to date, and confirm the potential for additional high grade discoveries on the property. Drilling at G-9 is ongoing.

Assay results for a total of 41 new holes are now available. These are listed in the Table that is attached, along with Drill Hole Location Plans and a Deposit Location Map (To view these diagrams, please go to the Company's website at: http://www.farallonresources.com). This brings the total number of holes drilled and assayed since site activities recommenced in August 2004 to 129, including 12 geotechnical holes, 34 metallurgical holes and 82 exploration holes, and one hole that was abandoned. Of these, 65 holes have been drilled at the El Largo deposit, 17 at Naranjo, 19 at Reforma, 10 at G-9, 15 at El Rey and three at Estrella de Oro. Massive sulphides were intersected in 101 holes. Assays are pending for 24 exploration and 9 metallurgical holes, and these will be released when they are received.

Also attached are the results from several holes drilled to obtain metallurgical bulk samples for the Reforma, Naranjo and El Largo deposits. Although these holes were drilled in conjunction with/nearby to previously drilled holes and specifically for metallurgical purposes, the results serve to further confirm the continuity and extent of the Reforma, Naranjo and El Largo deposits.

Dick Whittington said, "The intersection at G-9 is a particularly exciting new development and confirms that there is excellent potential to make new high grade discoveries in the Campo Morado district. The very high grades of both zinc and copper in this hole indicate that G-9, while at an early exploration stage, has the potential to be a deposit that is developed early in the mine plan, thereby contributing significantly to the value of the project. We are intensifying our efforts to outline this new discovery. This latest round of drilling has also added to the resource base at El Rey and, although it appears that we have delineated the extent of the El Largo deposit, massive sulphides are being intersected further to the west in the Estrella de Oro area. In addition, there are numerous other targets to drill. We anticipate both further discoveries and enhancements to our resource base by year-end."

Farallon's drilling programs include rigorous quality assurance and quality control procedures under the supervision of qualified persons. The in-house qualified person for the drilling program at Campo Morado is Daniel Kilby, P.Eng. ALS Chemex is the analytical laboratory for the project; sample preparation is done in Guadalajara, Mexico and analysis is done in Vancouver, BC. All samples are assayed for gold by fire assay fusion with a gravimetric or Atomic Absorption (AA) finish. Silver, copper, lead, zinc and 27 to 30 additional elements are determined for all samples by acid digestion, followed by an AA or ICP finish. Duplicates are analyzed by Acme Analytical Laboratories in Vancouver.
