Editors note: Two photos are included with this press release on Marketwire's website.

The Farha Foundation, Quebec's leading AIDS fundraising organization, is pleased to announce "LIFE, LOVE, HOPE"- the theme for this year's annual exclusive gala. MASKARADE 2011 will take place on Thursday, February 17 and will be held at the Marché Bonsecours. Charity founder Ron Farha, who succumbed to the disease in 1993, was inspired by encouraging others to celebrate life, love and hope. Almost two decades later, Montreal's community will unite once again to raise awareness in support for those affected by the disease that still has no cure.

"Coming from a generation that witnessed the evolution of HIV/AIDS, it is important for us to support a cause that continues to have a great impact in our community and that is why we have accepted to be Honourary Chairpersons of MASKARADE 2011," states Debra Margles, president of Michael Kors Canada and husband Pino Forgione, restaurateur of Montreal Gourmet. "We are honoured to join in celebration of the Farha Foundation who since 1992 has made a tremendous impact on the lives of those affected by the disease. As parents, we both look to educate not only our children but also those that are still unaware of the epidemic's breadth in order to help prevent the spread of this disease in the future."

Inspired by a black and white photograph of Ron Farha in a serene oceanfront setting, the Farha Foundation has invited prominent Montreal photographers, including Amel Chamandy, Ara Sassoonian, Carl Lessard, Heidi Hollinger, Izabel Zimmer, Ludwig Ciupka, Max Abadian and Yanick Dery, to submit their interpretation of what LIFE, LOVE, HOPE means through the eyes of their camera lens. Members of the media are invited to an exclusive preview of the collection at a press conference being held on February 1, 2011 at Galerie NuEdge Fine Arts International.

"Each edition of MASKARADE has had a different theme but is meant to convey a common message: that AIDS can impact us all and that we can all make a difference. The fiery red heart image created for MASKARADE 2011 and the inclusion of Ron's picture is our depiction of this year's theme. Ron's photograph exemplifies how he celebrated life every day, was filled with love for his community and was driven by hope that AIDS would one day disappear," said Linda Farha, Ron Farha's sister and Foundation spokesperson.

Entertainment for the night will include live performances by DJ Sandy Duperval and platinum-selling Grammy nominee, Deborah Cox who has not only conquered the R&B, pop and dance charts but has recently starred on Broadway in Elton John's and Tim Rice's "Aida." All proceeds raised at MASKARADE 2011 will help over 20,000 men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Quebec.

MASKARADE 2011 is made possible with the contributions of ticketholders and generous supporters including Platinum Sponsors TD Bank and One Life, Gold Sponsors Fashion Magazine and Zenergy Communications, Silver Sponsors Atmosphere, BICE Ristorante, CTV Montreal, Haivision, Michael Kors, PDI, PUR Ultra Premium Vodka and SAQ, Bronze Sponsors Aldo, American Iron & Metal Company, Audio Z, Elle Quebec, Encadrex, National Bank, Pure, Red2 Communications and Rogers.
