Farha Foundation's AU COEUR DE LA MODE Presented By Clin d'oeil Raises Close to $150,000 in Support of Those Living With HIV/AIDS in Quebec

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwire - May 2, 2011) - The Farha Foundation, Québec's leading HIV/AIDS fundraising organization, held its 27th edition of AU COEUR DE LA MODE, raising nearly $150,000 in support of those affected by the disease.

This past Saturday, close to 1,500 of people took part in the event at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. Shoppers benefited from exceptional discounts of up to 80% on designer clothes and accessories. Major participating brands included Aritmetik, Bod & Christensen, Dinh Bà Design, Eddynpizzle, HARRICANA by Mariouche, Kärv, Lady Dutch, Rudsak, Sixty Nine Jeans and Valérie Dumaine and many more.

"It is extremely rewarding for shoppers to know that their purchases are contributing to a good cause," says Nancy Farha, Executive Director of the Farha Foundation. "Twenty- five per cent of all proceeds of this one-day event went directly to the Farha Foundation, raising a total of almost $150,000."

Exclusive to this year's edition, fashionistas received professional styling advice from Clin d'œil fashion experts who were on-site to help shoppers find the best fit for their silhouette. This service was available for a nominal donation, which went directly to the Farha Foundation. In addition, Geneviève Borne, spokesperson for Clin d'œil, was on-site in the morning to greet VIP's and shop with them. They also had an opportunity to win a number of prizes including a pair of Nautica sunglasses and two spa passes to the Strøm Spa.

The Farha Foundation would like to extend a sincere thank you to the continued and essential support of almost 250 volunteers as well as the many devoted sponsors that made AU CŒUR DE LA MODE possible.
