ROCHESTER, MN--(Marketwire - December 27, 2010) - Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping (FARRELL'S), a popular and rapidly expanding fitness franchise developed in the heart of the Midwest, announced today that Mrs. Merit Scarff was chosen as the 2010 recipient of the "$10,000 Challenge," a competition amongst FARRELL'S's students who complete the "10 Week Challenge" and then go on to make the most significant transformation over one year. In one year, Merit Scarff went from a size 26 to a size 10 jeans; body fat was reduced from 47.1% to 22.6%; and lost nearly 100 pounds when she applied herself to FARRELL'S.

FARRELL'S is a results-based fitness program for participants of any age, life style, sex or athletic ability. Since the first Farrell's was opened, over 26,000 lives have been transformed. Farrell's is working with people on the front lines combating obesity and teaching students to develop healthy lifestyle habits. In just 45 minutes a day, six days a week, for ten consecutive weeks, Farrell's participants make real changes in their fitness and overall health.
