Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping Selects Twin Cities' Metro as Part of Phased National Rollout of Its Popular Fitness Chain

Farrell's Second Minnesota Location Will Cater to Consumers Located in and Around the Twin Cities' Metro, With Classes Starting on January 22, 2011

BLAINE, MN--(Marketwire - January 21, 2011) -  Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping, a popular and rapidly expanding fitness franchise developed in the heart of the Midwest, congratulates Farrell's Blaine on opening the 33rd Farrell's workout center, located at 1510 109th Ave., Ste. 160, in Blaine, Minn., directly north of the Target Superstore. The first 10-Week Challenge at the Farrell's Blaine location will begin January 22, 2011, and franchise owners Damion Meyer and Walter Jensen are still accepting participants. Over the past ten years since Farrell's first location was introduced, the fitness program has consistently sold out, requiring additional classes to be added to the daily schedule. Currently, Farrell's has helped over 30,000 people transform their lives, with another 12,000 to 15,000 students expected to fill classes in Farrell's locations in 2011.

Farrell's is a results-based fitness program for participants of any age, life style, sex or athletic ability. Since the first Farrell's was opened, over 30,000 lives have been transformed. Farrell's is working with people on the front lines combating obesity and teaching students to develop healthy lifestyle habits. In just 45 minutes a day, six days a week, for ten consecutive weeks, Farrell's participants make real changes in their fitness and overall health. The Farrell's 10-Week Challenge gives participants the opportunity to compete for a $1,000 prize, awarded to the most transformed student at each location at the end of every 10-Week session.

"Farrell's provides the perfect 10-week program tailored for those people who want to look and feel healthy, whether it's losing that extra weight, to adding more muscle mass," says Damion Meyer, co-owner of Farrell's Blaine. "Farrell's is the complete package when it comes to transforming people's lives. Gym membership focuses on cardio and weights whereas Farrell's takes fitness to a whole new level by interjecting healthy eating habits and support that will help students from falling back on unhealthy meal choices and poor decision making. Within just 10 weeks, students at our Farrell's location will see and feel instant results."

The Farrell's program includes four essential elements:

  • Kickboxing -- a taekwondo-based workout that combines rhythmic martial arts, including dynamic kicking, punching, and bag training to push bodies to their cardiovascular limits.
  • Resistance Training -- an intense anaerobic bands workout that builds lean muscle as well as lifting weights with a much lower risk of injury.
  • Nutrition -- a well-balanced, common sense nutritional plan that educates students on eating habits that help optimize their exercise efforts. Students learn how to make better choices at the grocery store and at restaurants so they can change their bodies without missing out on their favorite foods.
  • Support -- New members are provided the encouragement and support of handpicked students. Each with their own weight-loss stories, these trained instructors and experienced FXB participants know the process first-hand and can provide the support and encouragement needed to accomplish any personal goal.

"We are in the business of helping people transform not only their bodies, but their lives," says Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping founder, Lance Farrell. "I like to say, 'results are typical' because our program will work for anyone, and we have hundreds of before and after photos on our website to prove it. We have helped over 30,000 people transform their lives through this program. Our team of instructors and coaches help participants improve their overall fitness, balance, coordination, strength, muscle tone and agility."

"We offer participants a supportive environment to reach their fitness goals, while challenging participants to live life at LEVEL 10," says Farrell, a long-time taekwondo competitor and teacher. "The philosophies I value from martial arts -- discipline, self-control and respect -- are also the fundamental pillars of the eXtreme Bodyshaping program. Our mission is inspiring you to live with power and purpose, because we know how important fitness and confidence are to a person's ability to live well and pursue their dreams."
