Fat Brain Toy Co. Announces Release of Four New Items

Mini Squigz, Swingy Thing, Neck of the Woods, and Woo! Highlight Early Releases for Fat Brain Toy Co. Class of 2015

ELKHORN, NE--(Marketwired - May 14, 2015) - Fat Brain Toy Co., the award-winning toy company based in Elkhorn, Nebraska, announces the release of four new items to their expanding line of specialty toys, games and gifts.

Mini Squigz, the latest spinoff of the wildly successful Squigz line features a set of 75 "Fun Little Suckers" which are 40% smaller than the original. Mini Squigz have just as much popping fun as their full-sized friends. The miniature version of the toy joins the original Squigz, pipSquigz and Squigz Benders in the growing "Suction Construction" line of toys which are made from 100% silicon.

Swingy Thing, the colorful, skill-based toy for all ages follows in the spirit of such classic toys as the yo-yo and Kendama. Swingy Thing encourages concentration, hand-eye coordination and requires no batteries. The fidgety desk toy is right at home in the playroom or boardroom and comes with a giant poster featuring 52 fun challenges as well as a display stand.

Neck of the Woods is a stacking game for ages 3+ which incorporates counting, light strategy and the balance between risk and reward. Charming giraffes must stretch their necks to reach the treetops where leaves with multiple point values are growing.

"While there are many stacking and balance games available, Fat Brain Toy Co. has incorporated new materials along with an accidental learning experience with Neck of the Woods," said Karen Carson, Fat Brain Toy Co.'s founder. "While playing Neck of the Woods, children are not only learning about shapes, simple addition, but the concept of risk versus reward is such a unique aspect for game play at this age. That's really why we developed the game," said Carson.

WOO! is a delightfully, fast-paced tile game where players spell the numbers ONE through TEN, to earn corresponding points. The object of the game is simple -- be the first player to reach 21 points. Opponents can WOO! your words away by spelling other numbers and quickly changing the direction of the game. The quick-to-learn family game comes in a compact tin for easy storage.

"Our mission to develop toys, games and gifts specifically for the specialty market has expanded greatly over the past five years. With an eye on quality and design, we truly understand the needs of independently owned and operated retailers. We will continue to develop great new toys for the specialty channel," said Carson.
