FCC Helps Prince Edward Island Producers Become More
Efficient and Profitable

CHARLOTTETOWN, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND--(CCNMatthews - March 16, 2005) - A
new series of workshops to help producers improve their management
skills and profitability is coming to Prince Edward Island.

Across Canada, Farm Credit Canada is rolling out a series of four half
or full-day workshops. They focus on financial management for farm or
agribusiness operators, and how to hire, train and keep top employees.
The workshops are delivered in partnership with the Canadian Farm
Business Management Council. They feature professional presenters in an
informal, hands-on setting.

FCC is also offering a more intensive learning opportunity called
Advanced Farm Manager. Producers are able to learn a whole range of
business planning and management skills through a pair of four-day
modules. The maximum enrolment for each of these sessions is 25, to
ensure participants can fully develop their management skills through
one-on-one work with instructors.

A session is currently planned for Cornwall, Prince Edward Island, on
April 7, 2005. The session will include both the Get the best and Keep
the best workshops. These workshops will be presented by Gary Maas, who
has over twenty years experience assisting organizations with
interviewing effectively, hiring right, building teams, and increasing
sales and productivity. More sessions may be added in the future and new
information will be added to the AgriSuccess Web site at
www.agrisuccess.ca as it becomes available.

"In today's industry, producers need sophisticated planning and
management skills to ensure the success and profitability of their
operation," says Remi Lemoine, Vice-President of Operations for FCC's
Atlantic sales area. "These workshops can help producers and their
family members fully understand and analyze the financial and human
resources aspects of their business to ensure they make sound decisions
that help them succeed."

The cost for the half-day sessions is $100 for individual or $150 per
family. Register for both workshops and save $25 for an individual or
$50 for a family. To get more information and to register, visit the
AgriSuccess Web site, call 1-888-332-3301 or visit the local FCC office.

Operating out of 100 offices located primarily in rural Canada, FCC's
dedicated employees are passionate about the business of agriculture.
FCC's healthy portfolio of $10 billion and 11 consecutive years of
portfolio growth are a reflection of its customers' success.
