FCD Announces John Della Grotta to Serve as Chairman of the Board

NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - August 6, 2009) - The Forum for Corporate Directors (FCD), a leading Southern California resource for achieving corporate board excellence and good governance, announces John Della Grotta, partner, Paul, Hastings, Janofsky &Walker LLP, will serve as its Chairman of the Board for the 2009-2010 year. Della Grotta succeeds John Rehfeld, who will continue on the board as Immediate Past Chair.

Della Grotta's practice focuses on corporate finance and securities matters for publicly held and private companies, mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. He serves as primary outside counsel to various exchange-listed and privately held companies, and frequently counsels clients in strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and corporate governance matters. Mr. Della Grotta is a frequent lecturer on the topics of corporate governance matters and activist shareholders. In the corporate finance area, he regularly handles public and private offerings of both equity and debt securities, representing both issuers and underwriters. Della Grotta practiced law with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. from 1978 through 1981.

Della Grotta is a long-time member of the FCD and has served on many of its committees. As chair of the Nominating Committee for FCD's prestigious "Director of the Year Awards," Della Grotta has been instrumental in selecting deserving recipients of this annual recognition.
