FDG Mining Inc.: New Discoveries at Topacio

MUELLES DE LOS BUEYES, NICARAGUA--(Marketwire - Oct. 25, 2012) - F.D.G. Mining Inc., (TSX VENTURE:FDG) (the "Company") announces that the Company has received assay results from a further 776 surface and underground chip samples from the Topacio property, located in eastern Nicaragua. The samples were mainly 0.5m to 1.0m in length, taken across the exposed parts of the veins at 20m to 25m intervals along the strike of the veins. The veins average 2.5m to 3.0m in width. The highest grade sample assayed 62.0 g/t gold but the most interesting result of this sampling is that 65.8% of the samples contained greater than 0.5g/t gold, 40.8% of the samples contained greater than 2.0g/t gold and 21.1% of the samples contained greater than 5.0 g/t gold. The samples were taken from 20 of the 25 known veins on the property, 14 of which are new discoveries. This sampling confirms the widespread and high grade nature of the gold mineralization on the Topacio property.

These samples were taken from an area where surface access was recently obtained. Many of the samples are from newly discovered veins.

Management is planning a program of trenching in the overburden covered parts of the veins and drilling under the higher grade samples. Further drilling, directed by the trench and surface chip samples, should greatly increase the known resources on the property.
