Federal Bureau of Prisons Seeks Substance Abuse, Mental Health Counselor

Must be Able to Provide Community-Based Outpatient Services in Anchorage

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - October 06, 2015) - The Federal Bureau of Prisons, CTS Contracting Office, Washington, D.C. is seeking quotes from sources that can provide community-based outpatient substance abuse and mental health treatment services within a 10-mile radius of 161 East 1st Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501, and shall be accessible to local public transportation.

Performance periods under this contract will be for a one-year base period estimated to begin on December 1, 2015 with four, one-year option periods, with service ending (if all options years are renewed) on November 30, 2020.

Base Year

Substance Abuse Treatment Services: Estimated number of Inmates = 50
Substance Use Intake (one per inmate) for 50 inmates = 50 units
Substance Use Assessment & Report (one per inmate) for 50 inmates = 50 units
Individual Counseling Sessions (30 minutes = 1 unit) 48 units (per inmate) for 50 inmates = 2,400 units
Group Counseling Sessions (30 minutes = 1 unit) 72 units (per inmate) for 50 inmates = 3,600 units
Family Counseling Sessions (30 minutes = 1 unit) 12 units (per inmate) for 35 inmates = 420 units
Transportation (one-way trip) 124 units (per inmate) for 60 inmates = 7,440 units

The requirements for the base period may change, depending on the actual date of award.

The services shall be in accordance with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Community Treatment Services Drug Abuse Treatment and Mental Health Treatment Services, Statement of Work, March 2015. No Master's Required.

Faith-based and community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The BOP anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract.
