Federal IT and Healthcare Expert Erik Buice Joins Vangent

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - October 5, 2009) - Vangent, Inc., a leading global provider of information management and strategic business process outsourcing solutions, announced today the addition of Erik Buice as Vice President in the Health Solutions Group. Mr. Buice will be responsible for helping Vangent continue to expand its healthcare business.

Mr. Buice will leverage 15 years of experience in the federal contracting arena with a focus on health IT. His most recent position was for ICF International where he served as Vice President in the Technology and Management Solutions practice. There, he was responsible for business development, strategic planning, and operations support for more than 700 employees. His main federal healthcare clients included the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Administration for Children and Families (ACF).

Prior to his employment at ICF International, he served as Vice President, Operations at Patriot Technologies, LLC. He grew annual revenue from $13 million to $23 million in his first year with full responsibility for P&L, business development, delivery oversight and strategic planning while overseeing more than 130 professional services staff.

Prior to joining Patriot Technologies, Mr. Buice served in a variety of roles as senior consultant and project manager for clients such as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), FDA, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Mr. Buice received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia, and his M.B.A. from George Mason University.
