Federal Law Enforcement Agency Selects VirTra Systems Judgmental Use of Force Simulators

TEMPE, AZ--(Marketwire - Oct 3, 2011) - VirTra Systems (PINKSHEETS: VTSI), a leading provider of firearms training systems to Military and Law Enforcement agencies, today announced a contract award for two VirTra 300 judgmental use of force simulators from the U.S. Marshals Service.

"The U.S. Marshals Service was the first federal law enforcement agency to recognize the effectiveness of our simulators in 2006," says Bob Ferris, CEO, VirTra Systems. "We are thrilled to receive these new orders for additional locations and honored that our realistic simulators continue to meet their critical training requirements."

The VirTra 300 multi-screen firearms training simulator surrounds trainees within 300 degrees of immersive, video-based scenarios that challenge use of force decision-making and marksmanship skills. The purchase also includes special pistol conversion kits that simulate the recoil of a real firearm, but require no ammunition. In addition, the system includes the ability to simulate hostile return fire via VirTra's patented electric stimulator -- the Threat-Fire™. Each VirTra simulator is built with a unique combination of features, which increases training effectiveness and is considered the next generation of judgmental use-of-force simulation.

The U.S. Marshals Service is the United States' oldest and most versatile federal law enforcement agency. Serving since 1789, the U.S. Marshals are involved in virtually every federal law enforcement initiative. More than 3,950 deputy U.S. marshals and criminal investigators serve within the agency.
