Federal Prosecutor Joins King & Spalding's Government Investigations Practice

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - June 30, 2008) - King & Spalding, a leading international law
firm, announced today that Lou Ramos, a United States Department of Justice
prosecutor specializing in economic crimes, has joined the firm's special
matters and government investigations practice as a counsel in Washington,
D.C. Ramos most recently served as Assistant United States Attorney for the
District of Columbia.

The addition of Ramos brings to 52 the total number of lawyers and
non-lawyer professionals who have joined King & Spalding's Washington
office in the past 12 months, including recent arrivals Carl Wessel and
Seth Lundy in the FDA/healthcare practice, Kenneth Reisenfeld in the
international arbitration practice and Mark Dola in the finance practice.
The Washington office has more than 190 lawyers and non-lawyer
professionals.
At the Justice Department, Ramos acted as lead prosecutor in 19 jury trials
and more than 30 bench trials involving bank fraud, mail fraud, wire fraud,
money laundering, social security fraud, narcotics trafficking, weapons
offenses, human trafficking and crimes of violence. He also served as the
Fourth District Community Prosecutor, functioning as liaison between the
U.S. Attorney's Office and law enforcement agencies, city agencies,
community organizations and concerned citizens. Before joining the Justice
Department, Ramos handled a variety of corporate and government
investigations defense work at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson
LLP. He received a J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law
School and a B.A. degree in History from Cornell University.
