Federal and Provincial Governments Announce Four Affordable Housing Units in Antigonish

ANTIGONISH, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwired - July 29, 2016) - The Governments of Canada and Nova Scotia are investing $100,000 in the construction of a new four-unit affordable rental housing development in Antigonish through the Investment in Affordable Housing Agreement (IAH). The building will consist of two two-bedroom units and two one-bedroom units for low-income seniors, singles or families.

Sean Fraser, Member of Parliament for Central Nova on behalf of the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and Minister Responsible for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), along with the Honourable Joanne Bernard, Minister of Community Services and the Honourable Randy Delorey, Minister of Finance and Treasury Board and Member of the Legislative Assembly for Antigonish, made the announcement today.
