Federal Public Servants Honoured at Rideau Hall

Public servants were recognized today during the presentation of the annual Public Service Award of Excellence in a ceremony held at Rideau Hall. The award was presented by His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Janice Charette, Clerk of the Privy Council, to a total of 194 recipients.

• The award is open to individuals and teams from all levels of government.
• There are 14 categories, including Outstanding Career, Management Excellence, Employee Innovation, Blueprint 2020, Excellence in Citizen-Focused Service Delivery, Employment Equity and Diversity, Official Languages, Excellence in Policy, Youth, Exemplary Contribution Under Extraordinary Circumstances, The Joan Atkinson Award, Scientific Contribution, Large-Scale Special Event or Project, and 60 Years of Service Special Award.
